Sydney Harbour Bridge

I’ve driven on it, walked on it, taken the train on it, climbed it, taken the ferry under it, seen the sunset behind it, watched it from a friend’s bedroom window, been to the museum, flown over it, walked under it … though unlike a Peter Isaacson, I’ve never flown under it … seen it in movies, and in music clips, including one starring Noelene from Sylvania Waters

I’ve kissed Antarctica (with tongue), been photographed with Margaret Thatcher (well, kind of) at the world’s biggest arts festival and watched an hourly resurrection in a Buenos Aires religious theme park. It’s hard to get the Wow! factor these days.

But I always feel it when I see the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
