Thank you for your interest! I do hope you can come and see my new show.

From Club Med to manacles, a French chateau to the Salzburg International Youth Hotel, the Great Barrier Reef to the Cairns Central Liquorland, from Katharine Hepburn to Number 96, cognac to West Coast Cooler, and West End musicals to childhood poetry … this show has everything and more. It’s about fun, disasters and unexpected friendships.

There’s even a Cher doll.

When are the shows at The Backlot Perth?

For all of these, doors and bar open at 6 pm. The show starts at 7 pm and runs for about an hour.

What do tickets to performances at The Backlot Perth cost?

  • Preview – $25
  • Other sessions – $29 (Concession), $35 (General Admission)

The Concession rate applies to students and/or holders of concession cards (including Seniors cards).

What’s The Backlot Perth?

It’s a 50-seat cinema where they host journo previews and private screenings. It’s also used for corporate presentations. I’m using photos and videos in my show, which you’ll get to see on a full cinema screen.

Where is it?

21 Simpson Street, West Perth – in the Pickle District (near the Holmes à Court Gallery).

Does it have a bar?

Yes! Yes! Yes! It has a fully-stocked bar, which will open at 6 pm and stay open for an hour after the show.

Does it sell food?

It sells popcorn, potato chips and ice creams – the usual stuff you expect at a cinema.

Albert Einstein also makes an appearance.

Can you park nearby?

Yes. There’s free parking on the street.

Can you catch the bus there?

The 15 bus from the Perth Busport stops 250 metres away.

Can you catch the train?

Yes. You take the Fremantle Line to City West or the Yanchep Line to Leederville.

Are there places you can have a meal before or after the show?

Indeed there are! The Backlot Perth is only a ten-minute stroll from the Leederville cafe strip, where many places stay open late on Friday and Saturday nights. You’re also not far from Northbridge.
