How green weren’t my thumbs … or are they?

I come from a family with a long line of green thumbs. My thumbs are more of the dead variety. Palm trees can survive in deserts, but not in my garden.

My excuse is that I was travelling a lot, and didn’t have time to do mundane things like tend to plants. But now I have a bottle brush in full bloom.

It’s even enhancing one of the dead palms.

I would say it’s because I’m not travelling, but it’s just a freak. I haven’t done anything to it.

Whatever the reason, I even saw a bird looking at it. My friend FF said, ‘Must’ve been lost.’

One my neighbours complained that the sounds of birds woke him up in the morning. Never happened to me. Maybe it will now.
