When I’m in Argentina, I often try to immerse myself in the Spanish language. I succeed up to a point, but it’s very difficult to escape from English.
To demonstrate this, last year I chose a short block on one of Buenos Aires’ main avenues, away from the tourist areas.
I looked in the shop windows and photographed any words I could see in English. Here are the results:
