SHAMELESSLY SEEKING ATTENTION at The Backlot Perth: your questions answered

Thank you for your interest!

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SHOW?

I go through my appearances on two national reality TV shows. I play the video tape that got me an audition for Big Brother. I explain how I narrowly averted the most embarrassing publishing scandal since 1631 (or not). There are glamour photos and contraceptive shoes; edible penguins and cannibal rats. I dip my toe into the waters of Sylvania Waters and plunge my whole body into the waters of Antarctica.

I chronicle a lifetime of attention-seeking disasters, while answering the important questions of our time. Is it okay to seek attention? How real is reality TV? What’s the headache that no-one over fifty knows how to solve? What can you do when someone younger and cuter threatens to upstage your moment of glory? It’s fun, it’s silly – but the ending is surprisingly moving.
